Quanyi Li, Ph.D. received his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology in 1990 in China where he studied bacteria plasmid genetics and its applications in plant sciences. Then, he received his postdoctoral trainings in UK from 1991 to 1997. His first postdoc was in molecular virology in Department of Microbiology, The University of Reading. His study was in understanding poliovirus replication and the genetic minimal requirements for a poliovirus replicon. His second postdoc was in Department of Genetics, The University of Nottingham where he studied human molecular genetics and genomics. His study had led to the discovery of TBX5 gene for Holt-Oram syndrome, a rare heart and hand defects in newborn children. In 1999, he moved to America and continued his biomedical research in University of Pennsylvania, and Columbia University for understanding human diseases using his knowledge and skills in genetics and genomics. The past ten years, his interests in nucleic acids –based molecular assays development has driven him working in mycoplasma detection, environmental microbiology for testing viruses in drinking water, fungi and bacteria in environments. He was one of metagenomics researchers using next-generation sequencing technologies for studying the microbial communities in environmental samples for monitoring and understanding the micro-eco environments. Currently, he works on the development of molecular assays and GMP tests for adventitious viruses, mycoplasma, bacteria and fungi in biopharmaceutical manufacturing and products.
Research Interest
Dr. Li’s research interests are in genetic based nucleic acids assay development for microorganisms including viruses, mycoplasma, bacteria and fungi. He also works on assay validation and GMP testing development for biopharmaceutical industries.

Dr. Sandol Johnson has worked in higher education for over twenty years. She has taught both in Food/Meat Science as well as Biotechnology. During her years of university work, she ran her own consulting company to assist small food processors in their food safety programs. Dr. Johnson has traveled to many countries to assist with safety programs and production techniques for microbial testing. The Ag Biotechnology was one area in which she contributed technical experience in reproduction, food pathogens in live animals as well as in food products. Dr. Johnson works closely with all of her students to encourage them to go into the Biotechnology and in the field of Agriculture Biotechnology. She has written several workbooks and authored a text for Christian Veterinary Missions to be used in the mission field. This book was translated by the U.S. Army for their work in Afghanistan with local farmers.

Ozaki’s primary contribution is to achieve the first total synthesis of optically
active myo-inositol trisphosphate, and a wide range of other inositol phosphates
and lipids for subsequent physiological studies. Ozaki discovered DAB: regulator
of Ca2+ release, anti-aging reagents. Ozaki is proposing method to protect global warming.
His method is promotion of CO2 assimilation by effective use of NOx and drainage nitrogen,
phosphorous,. Many countries hating NOx as pollution gas and eliminating by ammonia. Ozaki is
considering that NOx is best promotor of CO2 assimilation . For the promotion of CO2
assimilation, NOx elimination should be stopped. Drainage NP elimination should be stopped.

I am Research professor of Environmental Microbiologyat Agricultural Microbiology Dept. I did my M.Sc. on the symbiotic biological nitrogen fixation by desert legume trees “Acacia and Leucaena” play significant role in combating desertification and are also used as nutritive fodder for important livestock at Sinai Peninsula. I had my Ph.D. on the Bioremediation of some organic pollutants I had some microorganisms are capable of fast removal of textile wastes to recycle these wastes in the environment or in agricultural purposes. I had some experience in genetic engineering and molecular biology techniques. I was work in many projectsin1993-1995, I worked under supervising Dr. Hassan Moawad in his project on the " Application of genetic Engineering for Constructing Superior Nitrogen fixing Clover Rhizobia and their performance and stability in Egyptian soils" this project has been approved for funding and was sponsored by National Agricultural Research program NARP / USAID Egypt. Through this project I had training in Research on Molecular Biology in BNF for one month with Dr. M. Sadowsky at University of Minnesota in USA.
I am worked also in project on the "Improving French Bean Cultivation Under Semi-Arid Conditions By Constructing Acid And Salt Tolerant Rhizobial N2-Fixing Symbionts for Plant Inoculation. This project has been approved for funding from INCO EU. Now I am working in bioremediation field, especially in textile dyes bioremediation.
