Withdrawal Policy - Crimson Publishers

Crimson Publishers is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and scientific integrity. To protect the quality of our content and ensure ethical compliance, we have established the following policies regarding manuscript withdrawal, retraction, removal, and replacement.

1. Article Withdrawal (Pre-Publication)

Manuscript withdrawal is permitted only before publication. A request for withdrawal may come from the author or the publisher.

Author-initiated withdrawal is considered only under compelling circumstances such as:

  • Institutional requirements
  • Unavoidable conflicts among co-authors
  • Ethical concerns raised by the authors

A formal request must be submitted to the editorial office, signed by all authors, clearly stating the reason for withdrawal.

Publisher-initiated withdrawal may occur when ethical violations are detected, including but not limited to:

  • Multiple submissions
  • Plagiarism
  • Data manipulation or fraudulent data
  • False or questionable authorship claims

2. Article Retraction (Post-Publication)

Retraction may be required after publication when:

  • Legal issues arise
  • Copyright violations are identified
  • Major ethical breaches or scientific misconduct are discovered

Retracted articles will remain online with the PDF/PHP replaced by a clear retraction notice, maintaining transparency and the scholarly record.

Please note: Publication fees are not refundable after the article has been published.

3. Article Removal

In rare cases, full removal of an article from the online platform may be necessary when:

  • Legal restrictions require it
  • Copyright holders request removal
  • The article contains inaccurate data that could mislead readers or pose health/safety risks
  • Serious ethical or scientific violations are confirmed

Metadata and a removal notice will remain accessible to maintain the integrity of the publication record.

4. Article Replacement

If authors identify critical errors that may compromise the article’s reliability or pose health risks, they may request to replace the published article with a corrected version.

  • The original article will be retracted
  • A new corrected version will be published
  • The retraction notice will include a link to the updated article

This ensures transparency while allowing the scientific record to be corrected.
