Peer Review Policy - Crimson Publishers

Introduction

Crimson Publishers is committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality, integrity, and academic excellence. Our peer review process ensures that all manuscripts are evaluated fairly, objectively, and rigorously before publication.

Purpose of Peer Review

Our peer review system aims to:

  • Ensure the validity, originality, and significance of submitted research
  • Offer authors constructive feedback to help improve their work.
  • Maintain the scholarly quality and standards of our journals

Article Processing Charges (APCs)

Authors, institutions, or funding bodies are responsible for covering Article Processing Charges (APCs) to support the publishing process. These charges are kept transparent and reasonable.

Peer Review Process

1. Initial Screening
Each submission is reviewed by the editorial team to confirm relevance, scope, and adherence to basic quality standards. Manuscripts failing to meet these criteria may be declined at this stage.

2. Reviewer Assignment
Qualified reviewers with expertise in the manuscript’s subject area are selected. Typically, two reviewers are assigned.

3. Double-Blind Review
Crimson Publishers follows a double-blind peer review process, ensuring that both author and reviewer identities remain anonymous.

4. Review Evaluation Reviewers assess:

  • Originality and importance of the research
  • Clarity and validity of methods
  • Accuracy of results and conclusions
  • Quality of writing and compliance with guidelines

They recommend one of the following:

  • Accept
  • Minor revisions
  • Major revisions
  • Reject

5. Editorial Decision
Final publication decisions are made by the editorial team in consideration of reviewer feedback. Authors are informed of the decision along with reviewer comments.

6. Revision & Final Acceptance
When revisions are required, authors may resubmit their updated manuscript. Acceptance follows once all concerns are satisfactorily addressed.

Confidentiality & Ethics

  • All manuscripts are treated as confidential documents.
  • Reviewers must declare conflicts of interest and decline if one exists.
  • Reviewers must not use manuscript information for personal gain.

Appeals

Authors can appeal editorial decisions through a written explanation. The editorial board will review the appeal and issue a final decision.
