He is an internationally known scientist contributing in two areas of knowledge: biomechanics of human musculoskeletal system and optical methods in experimental mechanics. He is author of over 90 papers published in the high quality, internationally recognized scientific journals and over 175 papers presented and published in proceedings of various international and national scientific conferences. He also contributed chapters to several books.
He is a retired cardiovascular surgeon, received his B.A., M.S., M.D., and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN. He completed his general surgical training at the University of Minnesota and completed his cardiovascular surgical fellowship training at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, CO. He has extensive research credentials, is widely published, has received numerous research grants, has numerous patents in various fields of interest, and has presented at many medical/surgical conferences/meetings. (Minneapolis, MN), and ImmuMed, Inc. (Minneapolis, MN). He is a member of numerous scientific research, medical, and surgical societies.

Another study has involved the identification, isolation and characterization of specific virus-induced tumour antigens, which were the "finger-prints" left behind in human cancer.Achievements include patents in field; discovery of Respiratory Syncytial Virus in infant deaths in Naples and of tumor liberated protein as a tumor associated antigen, 55 kilodalton protein overexpressed in lung tumors and other epithelial adenocarcinomas.

She studied as a Guest Researcher in School of Nursing Science in University of Witten /Herdecke, Witten, Germany in 2008-2011 and a Senior Guest Researcher in School of Nursing Science in University of Witten/Herdecke, Witten, Germany in 2012-2015. She is also a Member of European Kinaesthetic Association, German and Austrian Branch. She got IOS New Scholar Award of Self Care Dependent Care Nursing, International Orem Society, USA in 2014.
