He Received Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Taiyuan University of Technology, China in 2004 and 2007. Afterwards, he entered the School of Medicine, Tsinghua University, China, and received a doctorate in Biology in early 2013. While earning his Ph.D., he was supported by Tsinghua University to study at Harvard Medical School - Brigham and Womens Hospital (BWH) from November-2010 to December-2011. Next, he completed my postdoctoral trainings at the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (2013-2014). In March of 2014, he joined the Department of Biomedical Engineering of the University of Houston as a postdoctoral research fellow. He was promoted to a Lecturer in 2015.

He is involved in the modelling of cell motility and study of the effects of the underlying surfaces. He seeks to develop MEMS based systems for evaluation of cells mechanical properties, as well as to get a better understanding of the effects of dynamic loading on human musculoskeletal system. He investigates thermomechanical deformations in micro- and opto-electronic packages using more interferometry. He is recipient of a M. Hetenyi and Brewer Awards from the SEM Honors Committee, recognizing his contributions as a practicing stress analyst. He was elected as an Academic Advisor by the Presidents of the International Academy of Science in Russia for his "significant scientific achievements in the solution of the engineering problems of mechanics," He has served as visiting professor at Pontificia Universidade Catolica de Minas Gerais in Brazil, at Aoyama Gakuin University in Japan, Technion in Israel, Ljubljana University and Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines, St. Etienne, France. He is also recipient of a Certificate of Recognition from NASA for the creative development of a technical innovation. Voloshin is a member of SEM, ASB, and ABCM.

After graduating from Bristol University Professor Smith spent several years as a design and development engineer with the GEC before moving to the University of Birmingham where he served as a Lecturer, Senior Lecturer and Reader, before moving on to Loughborough University as a Professor of Electrical Power Engineering. He has held several senior positions at Loughborough, including that of University Pro-Vice Chancellor. Simultaneous with these he has maintained an active research and consultancy profile and has contributed to nearly 500 academic and international conference publications. Professionally, he has assisted with the organisation and presentation of various local and national IET committees and the MegaGauss series of international conferences. He has been an Associate Editor and Editorial Board Member of the EPA Journal (an IET publication) and is presently involved in the activities of the RA Eng.

Jesus Hernandez Saz is Assistant Professor at the University of Seville. He has two university degrees, Bachelors Degree in Physics and Materials Engineering, and a masters degree in Chemical Science and Technology. He obtained a scholarship at the University of Cadiz to carry out the Doctoral Thesis entitle Analysis at Nanoscale by Tomography Techniques of Nanostructured Materials for Photovoltaics. In addition, he has carried out activities of transfer of research results that include 4 patents and participation in 4 contracts with companies or public entities. He has belonged to the UCA Patent Commission as a member of the scientific committee. He has also promoted the creation of IMEYMAT of the UCA as a member of the commission of the master plan of the IMEYMAT. In this transfer process the candidate has been awarded for the idea and project of creating a technology-based company with the aim of exploiting new products based on the results of his research. Since 1985 she has dealt the mechanical behaviour analysis of composite materials. In the early years the study has been devoted to the multi-objective reliability based optimization of composite material structures. Later and until the present day, the analysis was aimed at the use of such materials to the seismic improvement of masonry structures, wooden structures (beams, floors) and also for the reinforcement of glass. In more recent years, research has been oriented towards natural fibres such as basalt, hemp, flax and bamboo. Since 2005 she has studied the mechanical behaviour of glass structures such as structural glass plates and glass beams, monitoring of masonry structure by means fiber optic grating strain sensors (Bragg grating) and digital image correlation technique

Raffaele Pilla, Pharm.D., Ph.D., Doctor Europaeus, received his Master’s degree in Pharmacy at G. d’Annunzio University in Chieti-Pescara, Italy in 2005, where he also served internships at the Cell Physiology Laboratory and Molecular Biology Laboratory. Prior to his degree, he was an Erasmus Student at Faculté de Pharmacie de Reims in Reims, France. He received his Doctor Europaeus in 2010 from Pitié-Salpétrière Institute in Paris, France. Also in 2010, he received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Physiology, and Pathology of Muscle at G. d’Annunzio University in Chieti-Pescara, Italy. He was hired as a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Pharmacology and Physiology at the University of South Florida in Tampa, on two research grants respectively funded by the Office of Naval Research (US Navy) and Divers’ Alert Network. He has written and lectured widely on his experiences. Dr. Pilla has been involved in ongoing research at the University of South Florida with the use of ketone esters. The initial work, funded by the Office of Naval Research, focused on using ketone esters to prevent CNS oxygen toxicity. Dr. Pilla is working to coordinate efforts in the United States and Italy to expand the ketone ester research to other conditions such as epilepsy and cancer and its use as an alternative metabolic fuel. Dr. Pilla has also served extensively in various international medical missions, orphan and homeless programs, emergency medicine rescue and training, and animal rescue and fostering. He is fluent in Italian, English, French, and Spanish. He has a special interest in journalism and photography, and he enjoys sailing, SCUBA diving, ultralight airplane piloting, soccer, volleyball, jogging, and motorcycles.

Mauro Callejas-Cuervo is a Systems Engineer and Doctor of Applied Science from the Antonio Nariño University. He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey -Mexico- and a PhD. in Energy and Process Control from the University of Oviedo -Spain. - At present, he is an associate professor in the Faculty of Engineering and Director of the Research Group in Software at the Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia. From 2005-2013, he was editor of the Journal of the Faculty of Engineering ISSN 0121-1129, at that same university. Doctor Callejas-Cuervo has published a large number of articles in scientific journals and has taken part in many specialized events. He is the director and main researcher in various innovation and technological development projects, mainly focused on the area of health and sports. . She has actively participated in several ACMP Middle East conferences in the past several years and her Publications are in the area of change management and quality improvement in higher education and health professions education
