Abstract

Digitalization is revolutionizing periodontics by significantly enhancing both diagnosis and treatment. Advanced imaging techniques such as cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) and digital intraoral scanners enable precise early detection of periodontal diseases. Artificial intelligence (AI) further refines diagnostics through predictive analytics and personalized treatment plans. On the treatment front, technologies like computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) and 3D printing facilitate minimally invasive procedures and the creation of custom dental prosthetics, leading to improved patient outcomes. This paper explores the integration of these digital tools in periodontics, demonstrating their potential to optimize clinical workflows and elevate the standards of patient care.
