Abstract
The development of society brings with it many positive, but also negative aspects. One of the negative aspects is the unbridled release of gasses into the atmosphere, including CO2. This gas is one of the main contributors to the unbalanced greenhouse effect and global warming, which is why methods for capturing/sequestering this gas need to be investigated more intensively. This communication summarizes why one should focus on this gas and which industrial processes can be used to develop methods/materials/processes for its capture.
