Abstract

Job shop enterprise aims to sustain production without significant capital expenditure. This paper presents a methodology combining Discrete Event Simulation (DES) with lean six sigma’s DMAIC approach to analyze results and optimize throughput. It identifies bottlenecks by examining machine standard deviation in a balanced production system.
