Nelson Hendler is a 1966 cum laude graduate of Princeton, where he also played varsity lacrosse. He received an MD and a MS in neurophysiology from University of Maryland, in 1972 and 1974, and did his residency training in psychiatry at Johns Hopkins Hospital from 1972 to 1975. Dr. Hendler was Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine for over 30 years. He has published four books, 34 medical textbook chapters, and 61 articles. He was past president of the Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Association of America, and of the American Academy of Pain Management.

Studied the career of medicine in the Faculty of Medicine of the University Veracruz in the city of Veracruz. He continued his studies at the Instituto Nacional de la Nutricion Salvador Zubiran (INNSZ), where attended the boarding school of undergraduate, Social Service, Specialties of Internal Medicine and General Surgery, and the Ph.D. in medical sciences, all of which are endorsed by the National Autonomous University of Mexico. He took a course in obesity surgery in the Hospital St. Joseph of Toronto City and another in endocrine surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Since 1991 he works in the INCMNSZ in areas of endocrine surgery and advanced laparoscopy, which includes surgery for the treatment of obesity. He is a member of the national system of researchers, in level II.He has published approximately 185 articles in national and foreign magazines 89 chapters in books and edited 6 books. Within other relevant activities, it has formed part of the Editorial Committee of the Mexico Gastroenterology journal, Journal of clinical research and the journal Surgery. Since 1990, it is part of the Editorial Committee of Obesity Surgery. For the period 2012-2013, was the President of the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons (American Association of Endocrine Surgeons [AAES]

Prof. Spadea is an associate clinical professor in ophthalmology, school of medicine, “Sapienza” University of Rome, Italy. Prof. Spadea has previously worked at the University of LAquila. He has presented papers at national and international congresses and symposiums and published about 300 scientific publications. In particular, having become an expert in refractive surgery, he has been called upon to present official papers in many international courses and symposiums. His interests includes corneal topography, excimer laser refractive procedures (PRK and LASIK) cataract surgery and keratoplasty.

Prof Costas Karabatsas MD, DMed(Bristol), MRCOphth, FEBO, FRCS(Ed)Ophth is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology with the Department of Optics & Optometry, University of West Attica, Athens, Greece. He is also a practicing Consultant Eye Surgeon, specialising in cornea, refractive, cataract and glaucoma surgery. He gained his Ophthalmology training and his clinical corneal fellowship within the Department of Ophthalmology, Bristol Eye Hospital, UK, where he has also served as a Clinical Lecturer with the Medical School, University of Bristol. He has been awarded a Doctorate title (Doctor of Medicine, DMed Higher Degree) from the University of Bristol, for his work on management of post-keratoplasty astigmatism with the use of computerized topography. He subsequently completed a refractive surgery-LASIK mini Fellowship with the University of Crete. He has served as Ass. Professor at the Department of Ophthalmology, Larissa University Hospital, Greece, acting as the Head of Anterior Surgery and Glaucoma Unit. In addition to his clinical role, he is active in research and teaching activities. He has authored over 60 peer-reviewed scientific papers, chapters and books. He has delivered more than 300 lectures, both nationally and internationally. He is a member of International AAO, ESCRS and EGS, and also an active member of the Executive Board of the Greek College of Ophthalmology, the Hellenic Eye Bank Demokritos, as well as the General Secretary of the Hellenic Cornea Society. He is on the editorial boards of several national and international ophthalmic journals and has acted as reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals.

I have 33 years long urological experience in hospitals in UK and overseas. My post graduate training was done in UK hospitals for 11 years then worked as consultant urologist at King Khalid hospital in Saudi Arabia for 11 years then returned to UK where I worked in British hospitals for 4 years. I have excellent experience in performing competently and safely open surgical and endoscopic urological procedures for cancer, stones, congenital anomalies and trauma of the urological tract. I do TRUS biopsy and Flexible cystoscopy well. While I realize the importance of team work I am capable of performing most procedures on my own and conducting my duties to the satisfaction of my employers, consultant and patients. I have done many audits and research work and reported 60 publications in International Medical, Surgical and Urological Journals. I made many conference presentation and given many teaching sessions to nurses and doctors.
