Abstract

Knowing well the world’s limited fossil-fuel reserves vis-a-vis growing environmental pollutions, hydrogen-based energy systems have been attracting our extensive considerations because of their environmentally clean nature. Hydrogen is a clean energy carrier because the chemical energy stored in the H-H bond is easily released when it combines with oxygen and ultimately forms water as the reaction product.
