He was born on 05 July 1940 in Karon (District Ballia) in the Province of Uttar Pradesh in India. He began his university-level teaching career right after having received his M.Sc. degree in Mathematics in the year 1959 at the age of 19 years. He earned his Ph.D. degree in 1965 while he was a full-time member of the teaching faculty at the Jai Narain Vyas University of Jodhpur in India (since 1963). Currently, Professor Srivastava holds the position of Professor Emeritus in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Victoria in Canada, having joined the faculty there in 1969. Professor Srivastava has held (and continues to hold) numerous Visiting, Honorary and Chair Professorships at many universities and research institutes in different parts of the world.

Kalkhan has over 35 years of diverse experience in academic, higher education institutes, international development (Capacity Building, Technology Transfer), scientific journal editing- peer review paper publications and technical reports, government, business, and industrial research including project management administration, and proposal writing-funding-reporting. His focus is the implementation of statistical analysis, sampling and survey methods, integration of geospatial information sciences-technology, and computational applications for sustainable earth resources and sustainable environment. Kalkhan specializes in Biometrics, Remote Sensing, GIS, Spatial Statistics, Quantitative Methods, Sampling-Survey - Designs, Scientific data management and Information Dissemination and Reports, and the use of Statistical-GIS-Remote Sensing Commercial/ Industrial (QA Product/ Processes) /Utility/Microsoft Office software, and Data mining. Applications have and continue included natural resource management (NRM), land use and land cover change, land tenure practices, ecological-environmental forecasting, public health (dust, sand storms, infectious disease), biological invasion of ecosystems, biodiversity, agriculture and water resources, crops monitoring and forecasting, wetlands ecosystem, wildlands fire, urban planning, monitoring Ozone/UV, public health, renewable/ energy resources, environmental sustainability- evaluation and prediction of change (resilience-vulnerability to climate change and adaptation), and improving economic and social growth practices/ policy. Applications vary in scale from local to global.

I graduated from the North-Eastern University of China in 1965. Since then I have been working continuously in research institutes and universities, majoring materials science and engineering ( phase transformations and processing of alloys ). I received a degree of Doctor of Philosophy ( PhD ) in metallurgy and materials in the Aston University, United Kingdom ( UK ) in 1983, and was conferred another, the higher doctoral degree: Doctor of Science ( DSc ) in applied science and engineering in the Aston University, UK in 2006. Over 113 peer reviewed journal articles and two books, constituting systematic and original researches, have been published, covering various aspects of physical metallurgy, mechanical metallurgy, electro-physical metallurgy and electro-mechanical metallurgy.

Dr. Hussein Kaoud was the Chairman of the Department of Preventive Medicine at Cairo University. He has given lectures in Molecular Epidemiology and Biotechnology at different universities and has been member for many International Publishing Houses, Reviewer and Editor for indexed journals. Currently he works as Full Professor of Preventive Medicine at Cairo University, Egypt. His research interest is focused on Molecular Biology and Advanced Technology of Basic Life Sciences after he had his Ph.D. and D.Sc. He has published more than 300 publications. He has Several International Books, one international award (USA), 10 Cairo university International Publication awards and the Appreciation Award in Advanced Technological Sciences, from Cairo University. He supervised, examined and discussed many medical dissertations.

Francisco Torrens is lecturer in physical chemistry at the Universitat de València. After obtaining a PhD in molecular associations in azines and macrocycles from the Universitat de València, Dr. Torrens undertook postdoctoral research with Professor Rivail at the Université de Nancy I. More recently, Dr. Torrens has collaborated on projects with Professors Tomás-Vert, Salgado and Castellano. Major research projects include prediction of the environmental impact of chemical substances using chemobioinformatics tools, discovery of new inhibitors of tyrosinase: computational design, synthesis, characterization and experimental corroboration, search for new antimicrobial agents that inhibit the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall, minimal active domains of proteins of the Bcl 2 family, development and application of quantum chemistry methods and techniques to studies of drugs, analysis of pores of BAX at nanometric scale and study of the in vivo antioxidant capacity of phenolic compounds through QSAR/QSPR modelling: crossing of the blood-brain barrier and interactions with cytochromes and drugs. His scientific accomplishments include the first implementation in a computer at the Universitat de València of a program for the elucidation of crystallographic structures and the construction of the first computational-chemistry program adapted to a vector-facility supercomputer in a Spanish university.
