She earned a Post- Masters Graduate Certificate in Adult/Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, a Medical Education Research Certificate from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, a Master of Science in Nursing, Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. Donna currently serves as the Director of Best Practices for the Telehealth Center of Excellence at Baptist Health South Florida. Her work of technologically leveraging big heath care data for analytics has enabled several high-value epidemiologic, observational and comparative studies resulting in the generation of new knowledge about critical care populations, the effectiveness of treatments, and sophisticated prediction modeling of outcomes. Donna currently serves as a MAL for Nursing Section Steering and Secretary/Treasurer for Research Section Steering committees for Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM). She was appointed to the Tele-ICU committee for SCCM. She was appointed to the American Nurses Association (ANA) Department of Health Policy Connected Health/Telehealth Professional Issues Panel Steering Committee. She has spent her nursing career within the specialty of critical care, research, best practices implementation and education. She maintains advanced licensure as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. Born in San Ferdinando (RC) on October 26, 1965, in 1984 she obtained the Classical High School Diploma and in April 1989 the Master’s Degree in Pharmacy at the University of Bari. She got a PhD in Cellular Biochemistry and Cellular Pharmacology with administrative headquar-ters at the University of Bari but obtained at the University of Bologna in the academic year 1993/1994, and in the academic year 1995/1996 she Specialized in Hospital Pharmacy at the Uni-versity of Bari. In October 2006 she became a University Researcher at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Bari. Since 2009 she has been working as a confirmed Researcher, first at the Faculty of Pharmacy and then at the Department of Biotechnology and Biopharmaceutical Bioscience at the University of Bari. Currently, she is in charge of the Physiology research laboratory aimed at studying the toxic effects of heavy metals and the beneficial effects of some natural food components on cell lines using electrophysiological and cell biology methods. The experimental activity concerned initially the Biophysics and the Pathophysiology of potassium channels, using primary cultures of skeletal muscle fibers of rats and acquiring mastery of electro-physiological methods. Subsequently, I approached molecular and cellular biology studying differ-entiation, signal-receptor pathways and gene expression aspects using immortalized and cultivat-ed human neuronal cell lines, mastering the methods of biochemistry, molecular biology and cell physiology. At the moment, my interest is aimed at the study of heavy metals as cadmium, mercury and lead to verify their neurotoxicity and, also, at the study of natural compounds components using neu-ronal cell lines.

In 1996, Dr Andrès received his MD degree in Internal Medicine, at the University of Strasbourg, France. He worked as an associated professor in the University Hospital of Strasbourg, France. In 1998 he worked as PhD in Molecular Biology in the Laboratory of Professor Hoffmann (2011, Nobel Prize of Medicine) in the field of cationic antimicrobial peptides and pathogens - host relations. In 2002, he was nominated Professor at the University of Strasbourg, France. He also was in the head of an Internal Medicine Department (of 62 beads) in the University hospital of Strasbourg, France. He was awarded the French Society of Haematology, price for research in the field of anaemia related to cobalamin or folate deficiencies in 2004. Achievements include development of research in: all type of anaemia, neutropenia and thrombocytopenia, particularly drug-induced neutropenia and agranulocytosis or thrombocytopenia; haematopoietic growth factors; and cobalamin deficiencies. He also conducts several studies on inflammatory or immune disorders. His recent works also include research and development on human sounds analysis, electronic stethoscope, e-auscultation, and e-medicine. Ljiljana Trajkovic received the Dipl. Ing. degree from University of Pristina, Yugoslavia, in 1974, the M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering and computer engineering from Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY, in 1979 and 1981, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from University of California at Los Angeles, in 1986. She is currently a Professor in the School of Engineering Science at Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. From 1995 to 1997, she was a National Science Foundation (NSF) Visiting Professor in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences Department, University of California, Berkeley.
