Abstract

Telemedicine is the delivery of the health care using different modalities of telecommunications. E-Health on the other hand is the use of internet for and related technologies for the delivery of all forms of electronic health services, information, education, products by both medical as well as non-medical professionals [1]. From telemedicine to E-health it’s a long journey. Concept of telemedicine is not new. If we dig into the history people in Africa used to light fire around the villages as a warning to the nearby villages in case of a disease outbreak. In early 1990’s radio was being used for the two-way communication between a doctor and patients in Antarctica. Video communication was used for the first time by Nebraska Psychiatric Institute in 1950s.
