Alice Sterling Honig attended Cornell University, received her BA degree from Barnard College, her MS degree in Experimental Psychology from Columbia University, and in 1975 her Ph.D. from Syracuse University in Developmental Psychology. She was a research Associate at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, then an instructor, assistant professor and associate professor in Child Development in the College for Human Development at Syracuse University from 1967 onward; became full professor in 1976 and Professor Emerita in 1996. Honig is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association, a Fellow of the American Orthopsychiatric Association, and a Fellow of the Society for Research in Child Development. Honig is a lifelong member of NAEYC, the National Association for the Education of Young Children, and was chosen as Research in Review editor for their journal, “Young Children,” for 6 years (1981-1087). She received a commendation plaque from NAEYC for the longest number of years in providing this service.

Anil Kesavan is an Attending Pediatric Gastroenterologist at Rush University Childrens Hospital and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Rush Medical College. After receiving his B.A. in Neuroscience from Oberlin College, Kesavan completed his medical degree (M.D.) at the University of Illinois. He was elected a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society during medical school. He went on to train at the Morgan Stanley Childrens Hospital of New York-Presbyterian, Columbia University Medical Center where he completed a residency in Pediatrics, followed by a subspecialty fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology. He is board certified in Pediatric Gastroenterology and Pediatrics. In addition to his clinical work, Kesavan is actively involved in the teaching of medical students and pediatric housestaff in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. He is Co-Director of the Pediatric Celiac and Food Sensitivity Center at the Rush University Childrens Hospital. He has an interest in food intolerance, allergic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, and the role of food as medicine.
I am a clinician scientist and a heart surgeon by profession and working as a faculty consultant cardiothoracic surgeon in Texas, USA. Erik Jan Meijboom is a Dutch national was till 2017 professor of Congenital/Pediatric Cardiology at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudoise in Lausanne, Switzerland. Currently he is the Medical Manager and Dean of the Medical School Twente. He teaches in course Prenatal Diagnosis of Congenital Heart disease of the Imperial College at the Brompton Hospital over the last 20 years He received his medical education in the Netherlands, but specialized in cardiology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, in Philadelphia US. He worked as a clinician both in the Netherlands (University Hospitals of Groningen & Utrecht) and for years in the US ( Univ of Maryland Medical Systems, Baltimore). During this time he published extensively in the medical literature (over 100 publications) and obtained his PhD in 1996 at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.

Luis Pereira-da-Silva, MD, PhD, did graduation (MBBS) from NOVA Medical School in Lisbon, completed his residency training in Pediatrics at Hospital Dona Estefânia in Lisbon and earned his doctoral degree at NOVA Medical School. I’ve always been interested, since a I was appointed as Doctor in Medicine in 1982, in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care and Cardiology; starting from 1985 my professional interest was specific in the field of neonatal and paediatric anaesthesia and ICU, patriculary in neonatal and paediatric cardiac anaesthesia and postoperative ICU treatment. Also i was interested in neonatal anaesthesia and post operative ICU for non cardiac patients. In1995 I was interested in computer driven anaesthesia and for years I worked with and was teached by Prof Nicolas GC Kenny, Professor and Head, Anaesthesia Department, Glasgow University, Glasgow-UK-.in the use of “Diprifusor System”. My specific work was to test, use and develop a “Target Controlled Infusion” (TCI) systems for paediatric and neonatal anaesthesia. For health reasons I had to stop my research until 2016 when I reprise to be interested in this field. The General Anaesthsia and ICU and Neonatal and Paediatric Cardiac Anaesthesia and ICU I’m in gharge as Head and Chief gives me the chance to treat every neonatal and paediatric pathology in anaesthetic and ICU assistance from first day of life up to 17 years.

Amir A. Sepehri has receivedhis B.S.E.E. from Auburn University, USA and his PhD from ‘facultépolytechnique de mons’ (Mons University, Belgium), on digital audio signal processing. He has worked on a special research program, ‘Computerized Screening of Congenital Heart Disease’, for 16 years. The program was aimed toward obtaining a special diploma known as ‘l’Agrégation de lEnseignementSupérieur’ in the same university. The result of his research work is formulated as Arash-Band method and it is internationally patented. Based on Arash-Band method: unique processing method in murmur characterization, a robust device for automated screening of children’s congenital heart diseases known as POUYA-Heart, is developed and it is now available as a diagnostic medical device. POUYA-Heart is the first intelligent phonocardiograph for CHD and CCHD screening. He has several publications on congenital heart diseases screening, detection and cardiac murmurs. He is currently director of CAPIS biomedical R&D department.

I am Associate Professor of Developmental Psychology in the Department of Psychology of the University of Crete. I was born in 18/12/1970 in Rethymnon, Crete. After my first degree in Psychology (Department of Psychology, University of Crete, 1992), I completed my Ph.D in 1998 at the Department of Psychology (University of Edinburgh) under the supervision of Prof. Colwyn Trevarthen. I have been working in the Department of Psychology of the University of Crete since 1998. My research interests are focused on the study of spontaneous naturalistic dyadic and triadic interactions of infants with Significant Others in different
cultures and in different contexts (rural and urban areas).
