Abstract

The Oxford Dictionary defines ‘Crime’ as ‘an action or omission which constitutes an offence and is punishable by law’. The criminal proceedings that take place can broadly be classified into 3 basic phases-Investigation, Inquiry and Trial. Crime Scene Investigation and thereby Reconstruction in its turn particularly involves 3 basic phases.
